If you make a booking for other guests, you are responsible for ensuring that they are informed about the applicable booking conditions and relevant policies.

4. Reservations

A reservation is subject to availability and is not considered confirmed until you receive a booking confirmation from Octopus Villas Bali.

We may require:

• guest names;
• contact information;
• arrival and departure dates;
• number of guests;
• payment or deposit information;
• other information reasonably necessary to process the booking.

You are responsible for reviewing the booking confirmation and informing us promptly of any errors.

5. Prices and Currency

All prices include applicable taxes and service charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

The main currency used by Octopus Villas Bali is United States Dollars (USD).

Where payments are accepted in other currencies, including IDR, EUR or AUD, the amount payable may be calculated according to the applicable exchange rate or payment instructions provided at the time of booking.

Prices may vary depending on:

• villa type;
• season;
• length of stay;
• number of guests;
• availability;
• promotions;
• additional services.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors, technical errors, or incorrect availability information.

If such an error affects an existing booking, we will contact you and provide reasonable options where appropriate.

6. Payment Methods

Payments can be made by:

• bank transfer in IDR, EUR, USD or AUD; or
• card payment through PayPal.

Payments made by card through PayPal are subject to an additional 3.9% payment processing fee.

Any bank charges, intermediary bank charges, currency conversion costs, or other fees associated with a bank transfer are the responsibility of the guest unless expressly agreed otherwise.

The full amount required under the applicable payment schedule must be received by Octopus Villas Bali.

Payments processed by PayPal or other third-party providers are additionally subject to the terms and conditions of those providers.

7. Payment Schedule

The payment schedule depends on the length of the reservation.

Stays of 7 nights or more

For reservations of 7 nights or more:

• 50% of the total rental amount is due at the time of booking;
• the remaining 50% must be paid no later than one month before the scheduled arrival date.

The reservation may not be considered fully secured until the required initial payment has been received.

If the remaining balance is not received by the applicable due date, Octopus Villas Bali reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Stays of less than 7 nights

For reservations of less than 7 nights, the full rental amount is payable at the time of booking.

A booking may remain unconfirmed until the required payment has been received.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Rent payments are non-refundable.

Once a rental payment has been made, whether as a deposit, partial payment, balance payment, or full payment, it is not refundable in the event that the guest cancels or does not use all or part of the booked stay.

This includes:

• cancellations made after payment;
• no-shows;
• late arrivals;
• early departures;
• unused nights;
• changes in personal travel plans.

Where exceptional circumstances arise, Octopus Villas Bali may, at its sole discretion and without creating an obligation to do so in future cases, offer alternative arrangements such as a change of dates.

Any such arrangement must be expressly confirmed by Octopus Villas Bali in writing.

Fees charged by PayPal, banks, payment processors, or currency conversion providers are also non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Changes to Reservations

Requests to change:

• arrival or departure dates;
• number of guests;
• villa type;
• guest names;
• additional services

are subject to availability and may result in a change in price.

A requested change is not effective until confirmed by Octopus Villas Bali.

10. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in and check-out times will be communicated in the booking confirmation or before arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request but cannot be guaranteed and may involve an additional charge.

Guests may be required to provide valid identification at check-in.

11. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to:

• treat the property, furniture, equipment, and surroundings with reasonable care;
• respect other guests, staff, neighbours, and local communities;
• comply with applicable laws and local regulations;
• follow reasonable safety instructions;
• avoid behaviour that causes excessive noise, nuisance, damage, danger, or disruption.

The person making the reservation may be responsible for the conduct of all guests included in the booking.

12. Property Damage

Guests may be responsible for damage, loss, or excessive cleaning costs caused intentionally or negligently during their stay.

Where appropriate, Octopus Villas Bali may request reimbursement for reasonable repair, replacement, or cleaning costs.

Normal wear and tear is excluded.

13. Maximum Occupancy

The number of guests staying at the property must not exceed the number confirmed in the reservation unless prior approval has been obtained.

Additional guests may result in additional charges or refusal of accommodation where occupancy limits would be exceeded.

14. Prohibited Activities

Guests must not use the property or website for unlawful activities.

Unless expressly authorized, prohibited activities may include:

• illegal activities;
• causing intentional damage;
• unauthorized commercial activities;
• unauthorized events or parties;
• behaviour creating a serious disturbance;
• activities that endanger people or property.

Octopus Villas Bali reserves the right to terminate a stay where serious misconduct occurs.

15. Smoking, Pets, and Special Rules

Any rules concerning:

• smoking;
• pets;
• events;
• visitors;
• noise;
• pool use;
• children;
• security;
• use of specific facilities

will be communicated through the website, booking confirmation, or on-site rules.

Guests are responsible for complying with such rules.

16. Availability of Facilities and Services

Certain facilities or services may occasionally be unavailable or restricted due to:

• maintenance;
• repairs;
• weather;
• technical failures;
• power or internet interruptions;
• safety concerns;
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to minimize inconvenience where possible.

17. Internet and Utilities

Where Wi-Fi, electricity, water, air conditioning, or other utilities are provided, they are offered as part of the accommodation service but uninterrupted availability cannot always be guaranteed.

Temporary interruptions caused by infrastructure issues, local providers, weather, maintenance, or events beyond our control do not automatically entitle guests to compensation.

18. Swimming Pools and Other Facilities

Guests use swimming pools, outdoor areas, stairs, terraces, and other facilities at their own reasonable responsibility.

Children must be appropriately supervised by an adult.

Guests must follow safety instructions and exercise appropriate caution.

19. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Octopus Villas Bali is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused by our intentional misconduct or negligence.

Guests are encouraged to take reasonable precautions to secure valuables.

20. Transportation and Third-Party Services

We may assist guests with services provided by third parties, such as:

• airport transfers;
• drivers;
• tours;
• activities;
• rentals;
• restaurants;
• wellness services.

Unless otherwise stated, such services are provided by independent third parties.

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, pricing, or performance of independent third-party providers except where applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Force Majeure

Octopus Villas Bali is not liable for failure or delay in performing obligations where caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, earthquakes, volcanic activity, severe weather, floods, fire, epidemics, governmental restrictions, transport disruption, power or telecommunications failures, civil unrest, war, strikes, or other force majeure events.

Where such circumstances affect a booking, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate available options.

22. Accuracy of Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date.

However, photographs, descriptions, layouts, facilities, services, and other information may change from time to time.

Images are intended to provide a general representation and may not always reflect minor changes to the property, furnishings, landscaping, or surroundings.

23. Website Availability

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

We may suspend, modify, update, or discontinue parts of the website without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
